Tiff’s Tip 3
Short and Sweet
The US Department Of Transportation passed the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA) of 1986 which was to protect disabled travelers from discrimination on airplanes. In 1990 saying Airplanes with 2 or more aisles need to carry an onboard aisle chair AND provide a handicap lavatory on board. the planes must have been ordered after April 5, 1990, or delivered after April 5, 1992. Now that not many older planes are in use, is why we see more accessible lavatories on planes.
It’s not perfect but we aren’t totally forgotten.
